Tax update: Notification No. 7175 about March 2021 MTR deadline extension.

Following the decision No. 49 dated 14 April 2021 regarding the lockdown of Phnom Penh and Ta Khmao cities to prevent the spread of COVID-19 (Decision No. 49), the General Department of Taxation issued Notification No. 7175 on the process regarding tax payment and submission of monthly tax returns via electronic filing and the extension of deadline for tax payment and submission of March 2021 monthly tax returns (MTR) as following:

For taxpayers whose businesses types are allowed to operate under Decision No. 49 or are not located in lockdown areas; the deadline of March 2021 MTR is extended to 27 April 2021.
For taxpayers whose businesses types are prohibited to operate under Decision No. 49, the deadline of March 2021 MTR is extended to 15 May 2021.
